We created Final Fantasy’s first ever live-action spot in order to match the hype of Final Fantasy XV, one of the most anticipated games in the last decade, a game 10 years in the making. The Final Fantasy franchise is known as much for it’s beautiful out-worldly graphics as it’s emotional, intimate storytelling. Final Fantasy XV is true to that DNA, as it explores the depths of friendship between its characters. We wanted to harness as much of that emotion, without giving away any spoilers to the game itself.

Bringing the Iron Giant to life
The Iron Giant is an intimidating, cult-favourite villain that has appeared in almost all the Final Fantasy games. This is the first time it has ever been envisioned in a live-action setting. We tasked Luma Pictures (the visual effects studio behind Iron Man 3, Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 etc.) with bringing the Iron Giant and the fight sequences into the real world, while honoring the spirit and history of the highly revered game.
